Q: Are there major differences between Honda CRF/XR80's and 100's ?
A: Yes. Although there are more similarities than differences, the 80's vs 100's have subtle changes in the engine, drivetrain, wheels, and suspension components. Trying to swap parts or relying on eBay descriptions for interchangabie parts can lead to big problems.
Q: Will the TK Suspension link work with the stock Honda OEM shock ?
A: Yes. But we don't recommend using it. If your first priority is better handling, it would be better investment to upgrade your rear shock before anything else. The TK Link is more difficult to install with a stock shock.
Q: What are the best options for converting the CRF/XR80 and 100 front forks to a better suspension system?
A: When the TK Steering Stem Kit is used with 1998-up Kawasaki KX80/85/100 triple clamps, it allows the use of forks from almost any of the late model mini forks. These models include 1998-up Honda CR80/85's, 1998-up Yamaha YZ80/85's, and 2003-up RM80/85/100's. We recommend the Kawasaki fork/wheels combination as it allows twin piston calipers to be used.
